my favorite food!

My favorite part of the day is when I get to eat lunch. I love it because it always makes me happy. One of my favorites things to eat is a Mexican meal called “Burritos” and the reason is simple: you can add anything you like, any type of ingredients you want to get different tastes. It is also very quick and easy to prepare. I like to put on it some mushrooms, some kinds of cheese, dressings, lettuce, among a thousand other things. I have always wanted to go to a Mexican restaurant and taste something more similar to a real Burrito, and how delicious it would be.

                There is a very delicious Mexican sauce called “guacamole”, prepared with smashed avocados, shopped tomato, garlic and salt. In my country is very easy to get some good quality avocado, and that’s important because is like a base ingredient of the real Burrito.

                Another of my favorite meals is rice with fried eggs haha! It is actually because it reminds me of my childhood, when I used to visit my aunt and she cooked lunch for us before she took us to the garden. Back then I liked nothing else but this meal and just like Burritos, they are very easy dishes to prepare.

For my career it is important among other things, to know the scientific name of both animals, insects and plants which are the most important to learn.

There are websites that have information about these names, such as the page "chile flora" which contains names of many species of plants, both native and exotic. At the beginning of my career they ask us to make a herbarium, which must have 20 pressed plants with the common and scientific name, for this we occupy the page that was mentioned previously, which each year is updated by placing new names of species that were not previously they knew These scientific names are part of a universal knowledge because the common name changes in each country.

Also in my university is an application called ucursos, which provides complete information of all branches of all races, delivering both notes and emails and in turn material of these branches. This application is in playstore of each cell occupying a university account and facilitates both teachers and students.

My favorite write

My favorite writer, so far, is a colombian author named Gabriel García Marquez. H|e was born on March 6, 1928 and he is well known for being part of the novelistic boom in Latin America, writing what would be called magic realism. This is about showing the unreal or strange as something cotidian. Between his books there are "crónicas de una muerte anunciada", "amor en tiempos de colera", "del amor y otros demonios" and the most important one: "cien años de soledad". This is  because thanks to it, magic realims was put on the map.

García Marquez won the noble prize on 1982, thanks to a long and celebrated career. It was a particular premation in stockholm for he asisted with friends and folk musiscians from his country, wearing the traditional suit of his land, the "liquiliqui".

His friendship with Fidel Castro and a kind of agreement in his way of seeing politics in Latin America, made his image a very unpleassent in United States and in some countries of South America, mostly because of actual the political climate in those years. however, he is still my favorite writer.💗

The story behind the photograph

In the year 2013, my best friend and I, we planned a trip to leave in the summer, but none knew to go and in at the time we were only 16 years old. It happened that my father knew a place in Loncura, are cabins of his work we could stay. The places was very nice and was placed close to beach, furthermore had swimming pool, quincho, board the games and "taca taca". Even so, what we liked most was that they gave us of food and very delicious jaja

At the moment it just happened that to my mother was given tickets to go the festival de viña of that year, wich would be the week that we were in the beach. My friends was ver happy because in the concert  a singer would play that she liked a lot in this time, GEPE. We had a lot fun that day, however at the end of the week we all realised that what we enjoyed most of the week was spend time togheter in a places a place of relaxation.

 Why did you choose this study programme?

Since i left school, in the year 2015, i knew that wanted to study something associated with the nature, because all through my childhood my family has taught me to take care of the environment and keep it. In the  2016 i took a year off where finally i decided study Forest engineering, because this career relates many things about nature. That's when I searched an university that had this career and i found the university of chile when it also was environmental biology, other career relates with nature. At that moment i confused about what career choose. but i realized that if i study forest engineering, i must go to the field constantly and i like this! so, this is why i chose this career and i'm very happy about that.

My Auto Biography: Who am I?

Hi, my name is Soleil and i'm 21 years old. I was born on july 21th, 1997 in Santiago comunne Puente Alto, but now i live in La Cisterna. I only live with my mother and my cat🐾, my father live in San Ramon and i dont have sisters and brothers. 

I am student of forest engineering and thanks for that i have know what i like the most: TRAVEL. My firts travel was with my mother, we went to the Carretera Austral. we traveled from the Coyahique trougth Puyuhuapi and we met beautiful places!!

Among the places we visited my favorite was the Sendero del Bosque Encantado, we saw an abundance flora and fauna, for example birds like the Chucao, Churrin del sur and Tordo. At the end of the path there is a huge glacier beautiful to see and the duration of sendero is the two hours approximately and is highly recommended to go.

I hope someday come back this beautiful place.💕
